Below you can find details on the past and present members of our lab. This lab is available for collaboration and mentorship with students interested in learning more about Instructional Design and/or Organizational Behavior Management.

 

Trey Ximenez

Trey Ximenez, M.A.
victortreyximenez@gmail.com

Trey received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. After working full-time in higher education administration for 6 years, he received his M.A. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Behavior Assessment/Intervention at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Trey’s professional interests include learning more about performance feedback, antecedent strategies, and discipline systems to improve employee performance in the workplace.

Priyanka Dave

Priyanka Dave, Ph.D., MBA

Priyanka Dave has earned her Ph.D. in management (Human Resource Management / Organizational Behavior track) from Nirma University, India where she explored antecedents and consequences of workplace learning in Indian IT sector. She holds MBA and BBA in Human Resources management. She has taught several courses in graduate programs and was also involved in industry projects for some time. Her research interests include workplace learning practices and processes, organizational learning climate, and performance feedback.

Megan Ireland

Megan Ireland, B.S.

Megan received her B.S. in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University in April 2016. Her research interests include instructional design, personnel training, feedback, performance management and computer-based instruction.

Merrilyn Yeboah

Merrilyn Yeoboah, M.A.

Merrilyn Akpapuna received her B.A. in Psychology from Dillard University in 2014 and her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University in 2020. Her research interests include job satisfaction, goal setting, performance management, personnel training and behavioral systems analysis.

Amber Derthick

Amber Derthick, M.A.

Amber Derthick completed her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2018. Her interests include topics such as motivation, feedback, and incentives. More specifically, she is interested in how incentives can be implemented in order to increase employee motivation and workplace satisfaction in an organization, and how supplemental aspects such as feedback and goal assignment can enhance incentive plans.

Eunju Choi

Eunju Choi, Ph.D.

Eunju Choi completed her B.A. in Film Studies and Psychology and her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2015 at Chung Ang University in South Korea. She completed her doctorate in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management back in 2022. Her professional interests include performance management and job satisfaction. She is particularly interested in investigating the effectiveness of feedback and measuring job satisfaction objectively.

Alejandro Ramos

Alejandro Ramos, Ph.D.

Alejandro Ramos received his bachelor's in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010. After working full-time at a plastic injection molding company as a production engineer for a few years, he decided to pursue his Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management (completed 2022). Alejandro's professional interests include goal-setting, incentives, instructional design, training, and systems analysis.

Lauren Eagle, M.A.

Lauren Eagle received her B.S. in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University in 2017 and her Master of Arts from Western Michigan University in 2021. Her research interests include personnel training, instructional design, intervention maintenance, computer-based instruction, feedback, and employee satisfaction. She hopes to teach organizational leaders how to apply behavioral science and evidence-based practices to their everyday work activities.

Hannah Houtz

Hannah Houtz, B.S.

Hannah Houtz received her B.S. in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University in 2019. Her interests revolve around designing and applying an OBM framework to improve educational practices at all levels, specifically using Instructional Design and Behavioral Systems Analysis. She aspires to use behavior-based interventions and teaching technologies as an educational, performance, and curriculum consultant in K-12 schools.

Thomas Ferragut

Thomas Ferragut, M.A.

Thomas Ferragut received his B.S. in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University in 2016 and his Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management in 2020. His research interests include learning, creativity, instructional design, and programmed instruction. He hopes to apply these to designing more effective tutorials in a variety of settings.

Nathan Pastrick

Nathan Pastrick, M.A.

Nathan received his B.S. in Psychology from Ferris State University in 2016 and his M.A. in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University in 2019. He is interested in learning evidence based techniques that can be used for personnel selection, training employees, and improving/maintaining employee satisfaction as well as learning how to practically apply those techniques in a workplace environment.

Austin Seabert

Austin Seabert, M.A.

Austin received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2014 and his Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University in 2019. His current interests include behavioral systems analysis, precision teaching and coaching, training, feedback systems, instructional design, and the development of e-learning.

Jeremy Goldman

Jeremy Goldman, M.A.

Jeremy received a BS in Behavioral Science from WMU in April 2014, and a MA in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management from WMU in December 2018. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Licensed Behavior Analyst in MI, and a SHRM Certified Professional. His professional interests include behavioral systems analysis and humanitarian aid.

Rachael Tilka

Rachael Ferguson, Ph.D.

Rachael Ferguson (née Tilka) received her B.S. in Psychology at Michigan State University in 2010. At Western Michigan University, she received her M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology in 2016 and her Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management in 2018.  Her interests include performance management and behavioral systems analysis.  She hopes to apply her research to better understanding employee motivation and job satisfaction.  

Jacob Bradley

Jacob Bradley, Ph.D.

Jacob Bradley received his B.A. in Psychology, Behavior Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2012, his M.A. in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management in 2015 from Western Michigan University, and his Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University in 2018. He is interested in performance management, personnel training, and behavioral systems analysis. His professional interests include applying evidence-based applied behavior analysis and organizational behavior management procedures to businesses, athletes and sports organizations.

Garrett Warrilow

Garrett Warrilow, Ph.D., PMP

Garrett completed a B.S. in Education and in Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2011. He earned his M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management in 2017, and his Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis in 2018. He currently works in Operational Excellence at Pfizer. His interests include process and performance improvement, data analysis and visualization, training and development, and instructional design.

Anna Conard

Anna McCalpin, Ph.D.

Anna McCalpin (née Conard) earned her B.S. in psychology, her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management at Western Michigan University. She is currently working as an Instructional Designer with Ardent Learning Inc. Her professional interests include instructional design and workplace training. She is particularly interested in applying the principles of instructional design and behavior analysis to increase fluency and maintain behavior change across time.

Hannah Berc

Hannah Golob, M.A.

Hannah Golob (née Berc) graduated with her Master's in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University in April 2016. She is now at RSM working as an Innovation Manager. Hannah owns the design and development of the innovation culture strategy for the firm. Prior to her role in innovation she spent 3 years at RSM as an Instructional Designer in RSM's Learning and Professional Development team. Prior to attending Western Michigan University, she completed her Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology and Applied Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas.
Raechel Olson

Raechel Olson, M.A.

Raechel Olson completed her B.S. in Psychology at the University of Minnesota Duluth and her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2014. She is currently working as a Business Process Analyst for Thrivent Credit Union. She is passionate about analyzing processes to find efficiencies, improve employee performance, and enhance customer experience while using data to drive decisions.

Charlene Lee

Charlene Lee, M.A.

Charlene Lee completed her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from WMU in 2013. Her professional interests include performance management and behavioral systems analysis.

Kristin Marroletti

Kristin Marroletti, M.A.

Kristin Marroletti earned her B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University in 2012 and her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2013. She is currently working as a Director of Operations for a small start-up company based in Colorado. Her professional interests include maximizing job performance and satisfaction through behavioral systems analysis, computer-based instruction, and training.

Karen Converse

Karen Converse, M.A.

Karen Converse received her B.S in Psychology at University of Minnesota Duluth and her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2013. She is currently working as a performance improvement Consultant with Fairview Health Services. Her professional interests include analyzing organizational systems to enhance employee performance, promote safety and increase satisfaction using principles of behavior.

Samuel Kallen

Samuel Kallen, M.A.

Samuel Kallen received his B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2012. His vision is to promote behavior management as a tool for workplace equality and empowerment. His goal is to actively direct career-long employee development informed by an organizational systems analysis approach.

 

 

 

Lab gathering (April 2016)

The lab meets periodically on and off campus to discuss issues related to the conceptual and empirical understanding of behavior analysis applied to the workplace and instructional settings.
